Contactless Real Estate Closings and Estate Planning are now available to Clients in Massachusetts.  On April 27, 2020, Governor Baker signed An Act Providing For Virtual Notarization To Address Challenges Related to COVID-19 into law.  The new law allows for Massachusetts Attorneys and/or Paralegals of those Attorneys to witness signatures utilizing video technology during the current State of Emergency.  Documents that may be able to be witnessed via video are Real Estate Closing Documents, Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney and Health Care Proxies.  As always, Rawlins Asack, LLC. remains up to date on the ever changing legal landscape and is prepared to implement and provide its clients with the safest and most advanced Estate Planning and Real Estate Closing process.
